Telit has launched a new IoT service offering Europe-wide connectivity straight out of the box.
The solution supports roaming across Europe, Russia and Turkey and offers a single roaming price for all operators, Telit said. It also allows operators to add value-added services on top, such as roaming steering and controls over billing.
Bundles include module plus SIM card, module, SIM and value-added services, and a bundle that extends connectivity to the cloud. The service is also connectivity-agnostic, meaning it can be used by customers who rely on third-party solutions.
Telit said its connectivity service eliminated barriers related to large-scale IoT deployments by offering customers of any size a cost-effective way to enter the market. Meanwhile, value added intelligence and device management services mean smaller enterprises “can enjoy the same functionally as large enterprises,” the company claimed.
Sammy Yahiaoui, Services Sales Manager EMEA at Telit, said: “Many IoT projects have failed because operators could not provide the right business solution. Now connectivity comes out-of-the box for a fixed, comprehensive and affordable price.

“It’s tightly integrated with the hardware, the modules, and a portfolio of deployment and troubleshooting services which provides additional, innovative functionality. For example, the Intelligence service gives customers a quick and easy way to analyse the business performance of their M2M/IoT deployments.”
In January, Telit said it had developed a “network-friendly mode” for the Internet of Things alongside Telenor Connexion and Allianz Telematics, aimed at ensuring interoperability between connected devices.
