Deutsche Telekom Group’s security division and new partner plan to offer joint solutions to enterprise customers.
The aim is to better protect companies from attacks on cloud, network and mobile phones. Palo Alto Networks already protects more than 70,000 customers.
The head of Telekom Security and VP, Dirk Backofen said, “Hackers massively try to infiltrate the cloud, network and mobile phones of companies. And the attacks are becoming more and more sophisticated. With Palo Alto Networks, we are working with an innovative leader in the cyber security technology. So, we will better fend off attacks on companies in real time.”
Deutsche Telekom recently counted a peak of 71 million daily attacks on its digital honeypots. Attackers are also increasingly targeting the corporate cloud, hence Telekom Security reckons the market for cloud security is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 14% up to 2022. Employees’ phones are also a possible gateway for hackers.
In the clouds
Palo Alto Networks states it offers a 360-degree view of security: Telekom Security will integrate cloud security based on the Prisma Cloud, mobile access via Prisma Access, and managed threat detection and response based on Cortex. The solutions rely on artificial intelligence to predict attacks as well as responding to them.
Christian Hentschel, President, Palo Alto Networks EMEA, remarked, “The enterprise and service provider markets require comprehensive, integrated, end-to-end and highly automated security solutions and services. This partnership with our suite of technology solutions delivers just that.”
