The research house’s Magic Quadrant put the operator top again for managed mobile services globally.
Telefónica said it has improved scores year on year in all categories that are part of the evaluation for Gartner’s Managed Mobility Services (MMS), Global report.
Evaluations
This year’s Magic Quadrant evaluated 14 providers, assessing five categories for core MMS deliverables.
They are: sourcing and logistics management; user endpoint management; security management; financial management; and program management including professional services.
Telefónica also improved scores in all of the categories it is evaluated in in the Critical Capabilities Managed Mobility Services, Global report, including being in the top two providers for several of the use cases.
They including business extension and transformation, mobility outsourcing and secure access to information.
Being a visionary
According to the report, “Visionaries have an innovative and disruptive view of mobility and its effect on the enterprise. However, their service capabilities are highly dependent on the use of private-labeled subcontractors, and they frequently have limited service portfolios in terms of breadth and depth.
“Visionaries have an early-mover advantage in providing project-based services, such as consulting, development and integration. Visionaries maintain the potential to quickly become Leaders, based on the creation of deeper managed service, or outsourcing, relationships that span tactical and strategic user requirements.
Constant investment
Hugo de los Santos, Telefónica Tech Cloud Director, “Year-on-year we continue to invest in our cloud communication services and our digital workplace portfolio, including unified communications and collaboration. We are proud to be Visionaries in this Magic Quadrant.
“Our aim is to be the partner of choice for our customers to help them become more agile, efficient and to reach new markets.”
