    Vodafone UK signals interest in MVNO growth strategy

    The operator has opted for Digitalk’s mobile service platform to support its growth in this sector.

    Vodafone UK has signed an agreement with Digitalk, which describes itself as a global mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE) service provider that offers cloud-based real-time communications platforms, to expand its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) business.

    Digitalk’s Mobile Cloud platform will supply Vodafone with services including payments, and customer promotions and lifecycle campaigns. Digitalk said its dedicated web services will help Vodafone simplify the the integration of new customers.

    Vishal Dixit, Strategy & Wholesale Director, Vodafone UK, said: “We chose Digitalk for [the] reliable platform and the services they provide, including their mobile cloud system. The Digitalk service will play an important role in our continued growth in the MVNO sector, as we bring on new partners and provide increasingly sophisticated digital experiences for their customers.”
