Streaming service will launch on 24 March, offering more than 500 films, more than 350 series and 26 exclusive Disney+ Originals at launch.
The content is drawn from Disney brands including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Mark Evans, CEO of O2, said, “We’re delighted to be working with Disney to bring these incredible shows and movies to our customers, demonstrating that there are more reasons than ever to join the UK’s No.1 network.”
Subscribers can watch Disney+ across mobile and connected TV devices, including gaming consoles, streaming media players, and smart TVs, and can create up to seven user profiles, with unlimited downloads on up to ten devices.
Naturally, UK mobile users who are not O2 customers but have a direct relationship with Disney can stream content to their mobile devices.
No adverts
There are no adverts and customers can watch content on a maximum of four screens at any one time.
The service provides parental control in the form of Kids Profiles that apparently “enable a child-friendly way to access age-appropriate content”.
O2 extras is available to new and upgrading O2 Pay Monthly customers on handset, tablet and SIM only contracts.
Using the My O2 platform customers on eligible tariffs can choose from a range of extras covering areas such as music, video, meditation, books and audiobooks.
