The Middle East’s fastest-growing operator will deliver “seamless” connectivity to subscribers through BICS’ managed roaming service
BICS has announced a partnership with Mobily, which claims to be the fastest-growing telecoms company in the Middle East. The partnership’s goal is to improve international roaming services for tourists visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to give Mobily’s subscribers seamless connectivity when travelling in and out of the country.
Stoking the boom
The partnership is intended to support Mobily’s growth and investment in the region as tourism exceeds post-pandemic levels. Boosting tourism in Saudi Arabia is part of the country’s Vision 2030 plan. This includes investing in everything from communications to the construction of hotels and other attractions.
Abdelkader Najja, VP Middle East & Africa at BICS, notes, “Improving the international roaming quality and providing a better experience for end users takes significant effort by mobile operators”.
And it seems increasingly many of them are not committed to making that effort, as Dario Betti, CEO of the Mobile Ecosystem Forum, explains.
Expert partner
Najja continues, “It is logical for operators to entrust this to an expert partner like BICS, where our reliable global network and wealth of expertise can be leveraged for the best user quality and experience. This partnership allows Mobily to focus on strategic projects to deliver unrivalled services to its subscribers, wherever they are in the world.”
Abdullah Alghonaimi, VP of Wholesale Operations at Mobily, added, “This partnership will enable us to offer our customers high-quality roaming services while they travel from and to Saudi Arabia, ensuring that they stay connected with their loved ones and businesses back home. This is part of Mobily’s effort to provide the best experience in the market and contribute to fulfilling vision 2030.”
