Handmark announces new agreement with Samsung

    -

Handmark, developer and distributor of mobile applications, today announced an agreement with Samsung in which the company will expand its Mobile Publishing Platform to support the Samsung bada platform. As a result, Handmark will begin delivering a variety of branded news and information apps for bada phone customers, including those using the new Samsung Wave.

The Handmark applications will be available in Samsung Apps, an integrated application store for Samsung Wave.

“Samsung is committed to delivering a superior mobile experience for our customers including a robust catalogue of innovative mobile apps and services,” said Kanghyun Kwon, vice president of the Media Solution Center. “Handmark is an important content partner and we are pleased to have their support.”

The Handmark Mobile Publishing Platform supports cross-platform mobile applications for more than a hundred publishers and media brands around the world.

The London Evening Standard will be the first app Handmark will launch for the Samsung Wave later this month, with Thompson Reuters, Goal.com and others to follow.

“Samsung continues to demonstrate their leadership in innovative handset design and we see a promising future for bada devices,” said Evan Conway, Handmark EVP of Marketing. “The Wave delivers an impressive, eye opening mobile user experience that we are excited to leverage in developing quality apps to support the experience.”
