    -

Will market SD, miniSD, MMCmobile and MMCplus

Storage company Swissbit has said it will mark its entry to the mobile storage market at the upcoming CeBit by launching a full range of SD, miniSD, MMCmobile and MMCplus storage cards “in every popular storage size and in every possible read or write speed”.

Swissbit is currently active in removeable memory such as USB flash memories and compact flash cards. The move into these markets is intended to give it a shot at the mobile market, as well as digital cameras, navigation devices and so on.

The company says the decision to develop in the new formats is part of a strategy to develop a strong retail presence.

â€œThese products are another step in our strategy to position ourselves as a full-range provider at the point of sale. More will follow very shortly“, said Heinz Brandenberger, Head of Sales for the Swissbit Group

“We know where the journey on the storage market is going and our diversification allows us to offer top products at top conditions“, Brandenberger added.
