Mentum launches latest backhaul engineering software

    -

Mentum, a wireless access and backhaul network planning and optimization company, announced today the release of Mentum Ellipse 7.

Mentum Ellipse is a software application for dimensioning, planning and optimization of microwave links and wireless backhaul networks that enables mobile network operators to accurately predict and address challenges associated with the growth of data services and the evolution to next generation networks.

The latest software release of the popular Mentum Ellipse platform takes advantage of the most advanced software technologies available and adds new analysis capabilities and user-friendly features enabling operators to efficiently engineer and manage large-scale wireless backhaul networks. Mentum Ellipse 7 can run stand-alone or fully integrated within the network planning tool, Mentum Planet, and it uses a future-proof .NET platform which provides scalability and ease-of-use.

"Operators adding new coverage, increasing capacity or migrating to an all-IP backhaul network, need accurate planning and optimization software. Mentum Ellipse 7 offers both engineering and optimization capabilities, which is critical for wireless operators dealing with rapid increases in carried data," commented Bernard Breton, Chief Operating and Strategy Officer at Mentum. "This product is well positioned to support enterprise environments in which customers require flexible deployment options and workflows that increase operational efficiency."
