Consolidating business on one data system
Holland’s VodafoneZiggo is moving all its systems for finance, HR and the supply chain out of the office and into an Oracle Fusion cloud applications suite. The migration is being project managed by Oracle channel partners Accenture and Profource.
The telco is moving details of its seven million customers out of its premises using Oracle Fusion systems in order connect and standardise all its important business processes on a single data system, according to CTO Eben Albertyn at VodafoneZiggo. “We are consolidating and simplifying our business systems, so that we can [be] even more agile and flexible,” said Albertyn.
Oracle Fusion is an integrated suite of applications that promises to help companies respond quicker as their needs and market conditions change. The suite includes software for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Capital Management (HCM) and the Supply Chain and Manufacturing (SCM).
Oracle’s integration cloud and autonomous database on its cloud infrastructure connect the application suite and data sources in order to automate end-to-end processes and centralise management. The wide range of integrations, with pre-built adapters and low code, makes migration to the cloud easier for businesses, it claims. Buying a computer system from Oracle can make a company consistently more creative, according to Cormac Watters, its EVP Applications across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “With Oracle Fusion Applications, VodafoneZiggo has an integrated platform to improve operational efficiency, tap into continuous innovation and support the company in achieving new goals. We are delighted to support them on this.”
Oracle is holding an event, CloudWorld on October 20 which brings together all its customers and partners from across the globe.
