Portalify and Rohill cooperate for interoperability in TETRA applications

    -

Portalify, a provider of mobile data messaging technology for field operations, and Rohill, a developer of professional mobile communications systems for mission-critical applications, have today announced a technology partnership to ensure seamless interoperability between Portalify's data messaging solutions and Rohill's TETRA networks.

The partnership is claimed to bring TETRA users new benefits in productivity and efficiency by integrating Portalify's field-proven data applications with Rohill's powerful TetraNode communication network. TetraNode's open IP Gateways allow direct integration with third party data applications.

"Data communication needs in TETRA networks are growing at an increasing pace, as users are looking for ways to increase their productivity and a better return on their network investments," said Meint Joustra, Product Director, Rohill. "Our customers will benefit from Portalify applications that provide the right information for the right people as and when needed, enabling better productivity".

"Combining our applications with Rohill's networks enables both of us to serve our customers better," said Hannu Aronsson, Chairman and CTO, Portalify. "TETRA is becoming more and more interoperable. Thanks to Rohill's open interfaces, integrating Portalify's technology with Rohill's networks has proven to be faster than we originally estimated".

Portalify applications for mobile networks enable data communication services such as instant messaging between individuals and groups, image distribution, integrated mobile access to key databases, and work flow automation.

TetraNode is fully compliant with the popular digital and open TETRA standard and creates a true multi-vendor environment. TetraNode is highly scalable and supports all available network topologies. Its ultimately simple architecture is based on building blocks that are multiplied to create larger networks.

Portalify's solutions are based on Portalify Data Messaging Server, which enables the applications to run on all messaging-capable mobile networks, including TETRA and GSM. Client applications provide users easy and secure access to data services.
