Icewhole.com, the website for budding filmmakers and actors, and Orange have announced a new film partnership providing downloadable short films for Orange mobile users.
Every month, short films selected from Icewhole.com's online catalogue will be available exclusively on the Orange mobile network, and the partnership will give aspiring young filmmakers the chance to showcase their work to Orange's film loving customers. Films will be available at under £1 per download with royalties going back to the filmmakers.
The partnership is said to fit with Orange's long association with the British film industry. From title sponsorship of the Orange British Academy Film Awards to the Orange Wednesdays 2 for 1 promotion, championing creativity and accessibility to film has been at the core of Orange's film partnerships.
Magda Lojszczyk, Entertainment Brand Marketing & Partnerships Manager, Orange, commented: "Our partnership with Icewhole.com perfectly combines our mobile technology with new film talent. The accessibility of our mobile platform means millions of Orange users can always find something entertaining to watch when they're on the move."
Steve Lanning, co-founder of Icewhole.com: "This is an exciting opportunity for original films to be seen by the masses and a completely new way for film lovers to discover and enjoy new talent. For the film maker this provides them with the opportunity of being noticed by a wider audience and a revenue source to help them."
