Sybase 365 announces partnership with Tesco Mobile

    -

Sybase 365, a specialist in mobile messaging services, has today announced that it has been selected by Tesco Mobile to enable international SMS delivery, putting customers in touch with more than 2.4 billion subscribers worldwide.

As Ireland's newest mobile network service provider, and the country's first MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), Tesco Mobile chose Sybase 365 because of its leadership in global SMS interoperability, through its reach to more than 700 mobile operators around the world.

Tesco Mobile says it is aiming to immediately become a strong player within its core markets, and wanted a partner that could offer them experience, reliability and global connectivity.

"Tesco Mobile is committed to offering a quality service and great value to our customers" said Yvonne Lucas, marketing manager for Tesco Mobile. "Working with Sybase 365 to expand SMS messaging internationally helps us to achieve this."

"We are pleased to be selected by Tesco Mobile to provide them with international connectivity," said Mark Weait, regional director, Northern EMEA, for  Sybase 365. "Tesco Mobile subscribers are now able to send and receive text messages from most corners of the world, opening up a vast potential SMS revenue stream for the Irish operator."

Sybase 365 says it solves the complexities of interoperability management, enabling operators to raise the value of their international messaging by dramatically expanding their global reach.
