Telekom Austria’s mobile subsidiary mobilkom austria and T-Mobile Austria reached an agreement with regard to the sale of a UMTS frequency package (2×5 MHz). mobilkom austria held a total of 4 frequency packages amounting to 19.8 MHz (FDD) following the acquisition of the Austrian subsidiary of Telefonica Moviles.
In compliance with the requirements of the Austrian Regulatory Authority RTR, mobilkom austria has disposed of one of its packages. Thus, mobilkom austria is the first European operator that has successfully completed a UMTS frequency transaction.
