Leading subscriber-centric policy management products to enhance Syniverse offering for mobile operators

Bridgewater Systems has announced it has entered into an agreement with Syniverse Technologies, a leading provider of mission-critical technology services to wireless telecommunications companies worldwide, to enable Syniverse to resell Bridgewater’s subscriber-centric policy management products to service providers in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and Indonesia.

Syniverse will work with Bridgewater’s Asia Pacific sales team to provide customers with an end-to-end solution that enables wireless communications, mobile applications and subscriber-centric policy management solutions. An initial joint engagement is underway to deliver SmarTone-Vodafone with a complete solution that will allow this Hong Kong-based operator to monitor, control and monetize subscriber access to its GSM network (see related SmarTone-Vodafone announcement).

Under terms of the non-exclusive agreement, Syniverse will have the rights to resell the following Bridgewater Systems products in the assigned region, specifically network access control solutions, including the AAA Service Controller, as well as network and application policy control products. Syniverse will be responsible for pre-sales, implementation, training and support for its prospects and customers.

“Bridgewater has long recognized the extensive reach of Syniverse in the Asia- Pacific region, and we are pleased to formalize our relationship through this reseller agreement,” said Steven Szeto, vice president, Asia Pacific, Bridgewater Systems. “Through Syniverse, Bridgewater will give service providers a competitive advantage with industry-leading solutions that provide network, customer and application management.”
