    New partnerships, products and commercial deployments at 3GSM

    With Product Management set to be one of the biggest OSS / BSS challenges of the year, 3GSM 2007 sees Convergys adopt Tribold’s Product Portfolio Manager (PPM) application software at the heart of its Infinys Business Support System.  At 3GSM, Tribold will also showcase its latest release of Product Portfolio Manager software application for Communication Service Providers (CSPs).

    According to a forthcoming Yankee Group report, the typical CSP has upwards of 1000 unique products, and will introduce anything up to 25 new products per year. As we move towards a fully converged environment, this number is set to rise dramatically – further exacerbating the already significant product management challenges.

    As evidenced by the February 2007 landmark OEM  partnership with Convergys, and the key role played by Tribold PPM in the product transformation project in one of the world’s most advanced CSPs , Tribold provides a unique solution to addresses these challenges.

    Under the terms of the partnership, Convergys will integrate Tribold’s Product Portfolio Manager software application into its Infinys Business Support System – enabling CSP customers to centralise vital product data into a single enterprise catalog, improving data integration, product lifecycle management, business intelligence and channel management.

    By adding Tribold’s industry-leading suite of Product Management  application software to the Infinys BSS solution, CSPs can create, manage, and control their products end-to-end, from business case development to product retirement, within a single view across all disparate BSS and OSS systems.  This enables dramatic improvements in a CSP’s product management performance, improving time to market for convergent services while increasing profit margins.

    As first movers in the emerging product management sector, Tribold will be defining end-to-end product management and discussing this is set to become one of the biggest OSS / BSS issues of 2007.  It will highlight the route to rapid delivery of new services through effective product management, how to reduce network complexity and cost through the consolidation of multiple products into a single catalog, and the overall business benefits of a single, centralised Product Management strategy.
