3GSM 2007: Crossbeam to offer sneak preview of next-generation carrier-class unified threat management

    -

Crossbeam Systems, a leader in unified threat management (UTM) for the world’s largest networks, will offer a sneak preview of some of its next-generation UTM technology at 3GSM.

Extending the capabilities of the award winning X-Series platform, Crossbeam’s next generation capabilities raise the bar for high-end UTM, offering advanced network processing features including deep packet inspection, programmable flow control via APIs, advanced Quality of Service (QoS), and 10GE-capable flow sequencing – all delivered on a massively multi-core architecture that provides breakthrough application density and software upgradeability.

Crossbeam will deliver these new capabilities in 2007, establishing itself as the world’s first security vendor to consolidate essential DMZ and data centre security applications on one security services platform. The Crossbeam X-Series becomes the single point of control for service providers to deploy a full range of security and application delivery capabilities on their networks.

“Our customers rely on Crossbeam to protect the world’s largest and most complex networks with innovative, industry-leading security solutions,” said Chris Hoff, chief security strategist, Crossbeam Systems. “Crossbeam’s next-generation UTM technologies, to be previewed at this year’s 3GSM, redefine what it means to be a high-end UTM provider and will be generally available later this year.”
