    T-Mobile launches HSDPA

    Germany, Netherlands and UK get coverage

    T-Mobile has announced the launch of HSDPA services in Germany the UK and The Netherlands.

    To coincide with the CeBit show the network is live in Hannover and in other parts of Germany. Service in the two other countries will follow later this year.

    Nokia announced it would be providing T-Mobile with the network upgrade in August last year and has been conducting HSDPA trials with the operator since November 20005. Nokia is also the existing supplier of WCDMA equipment to T-Mobile.

    In the first phase of the roll out Nokia said it expected to see average data rates of around 1-2 Mbps.
