Vodafone adds Bulgaria’s Mobiltel to Group look and feel

    -

Vodafone and Bulgarian operator Mobiltel, a subsidiary of Telekom Austria, will dual brand Vodafone products and services in the country, adding Mobiltel to the list of Telekom Austria properties to partner with Vodafone.

The partnership means Vodafone customers roaming into Bulgaria will be able to access services in a recognisable way. This is particulalry apposite for Vodafone’s business customers, as Vodafone is not part of an alliance suchas Freemove, and so has to build its own “seamless” experience for corporate customers.

For Mobiltel, the partnership brings access to Vodafone’s services portfolio, as well as to the operator’s handset buying power.

“Our strategic relationship with Mobiltel significantly enhances Vodafone’s service footprint in Central Europe and builds upon our excellent relationship with members of the Mobilkom Austria Group. Vodafone is increasingly able to offer its customers a seamless service offering when travelling in Central Europe, with a presence in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Hungary and Romania,” said Arun Sarin, Chief Executive at Vodafone.

“We intend to develop our relationship with Mobiltel to ensure both Vodafone and Mobiltel customers have the very best in mobile services.”

Josef Vinatzer, Chief Executive, Mobiltel, said, “The partnership allows us to immediately broaden our portfolio with the best and very successful telecom products and services.”

Including Mobiltel, Vodafone now has Partner Networks in 32 markets.
