Enrique Blanco, Group CTIO, Telefónica addressed the conference, held in central London in December, saying, “We are in a moment of unprecedented telco transformation as there is a great value to be captured by the industry. We are changing our networks to be software- and cloud-based, virtualised, intelligent, on-demand, scalable, autonomous and sustainable: we are building a large, distributed supercomputing platform.
