TIM, Huawei partner on new SD-WAN solutions for enterprises

TIM and Huawei are offering Italian enterprises new services based on software-defined wide area network technology, as they aim to help businesses increase the reliability, flexibility and efficiency.

The partnership, the latest between the two telcos, is the latest step in TIM's integration of its business network solutions with the cloud.

The operator highlighted the ability for businesses to run their networks through a single console, with the help of TIM's National Assistance Centre.

Huawei's SD-WAN technology is the first to be integrated into the console. The telcos will collaborate on developing advanced business solutions and services.

Luigi Zabatta, Head of Fixed Offer - TIM's Chief Business & Top Clients Office, said: "Today, more than ever, companies need networks that can adapt to different business needs over time, in particular to enable Cloud and VoIP services.
