Acision bolsters messaging security with new acquisition

    -

Mobile messaging company Acision has moved to strengthen its enterprise security offering by acquiring MindMatics Secure Messaging for an undisclosed fee.

MindMatics offers secure support services between businesses and their customers via messaging. It works with more than 900 operators globally and Acision said it complies with “the highest degree of data protection, security and safety standards”.

According to Acision, the acquisition would help it to offer secure messaging services for the likes of the financial, transportation, travel, logistics and telecommunications sectors. Among the features that MindMatics offers are multi-factor and one time password authentication, which Acision said would be particularly useful for the financial sector.

MindMatics recently launched secure IP messaging clint trustego, which offers encrypted messaging between apps and MindMatics’ infrastructure. The service is available via white label or through an SDK, so businesses can embed security into their own apps and products.

Acision CEO Adolfo Hernandez, said: “MindMatics’ technology and expertise fit neatly into Acision’s drive towards cross-border interconnect commercial services to mobile operators and enterprises, boosting our already comprehensive product portfolio and enabling direct connections into new countries and secure, two-way messaging into new industries.

“As we execute against our strategy, and take the next step in building out our commercial and enterprise propositions, the introduction of MindMatics Secure Messaging into Acision means we can take a clear role in providing consumer applications and services to mobile operators and blue-chip businesses which work across countries.”
